At Coniston Sports and Social Centre, sport and fitness are fundamental to our mission. We are dedicated to providing modern facilities and diverse opportunities for our local community. From our fully equipped gym and varied classes to our extensive outdoor spaces, we offer something for everyone. ‘Sport for all’ is our guiding principle, and we strive to make it a reality.

Members Gym

Achieve your fitness goals with our comprehensive gym! We offer a wide range of equipment, including:

Cardio: New Technogym treadmill, elliptical trainer, rowing machine, and bike.
Strength: Dumbbells, kettlebells, barbells, weight plates, benches, a squat rack, and a cable machine.
Functional Fitness: Slam balls, resistance bands, and mats.

Our weekly schedule:

Tuesday 6:30PM Coniston AFC training, all welcome (football pitch)
Wednesday 6:30PM Walking Football, all abilities & ages (MUGA)
Thursday: 11:00AM – 1:00PM Young at Heart – Over 60s light exercise & lunch
Thursday 6:45PM Netball Training (MUGA) term time only.

MUGA

Maximise your outdoor sports and fitness with our versatile, hard-standing MUGA. This floodlit Multi-Use Games Area is ideal for football, tennis, and a variety of outdoor gym activities.

MUGA Rental (full use):

1 hour block: £30
Floodlighting: £5 extra per block

Grass Pitch

Our well-maintained grass pitch is available for hire from June to September, outside of the football season. It’s also the home ground of Coniston AFC!
